MAKA - MCCREARY TRANSLATION - THE BELOVED EYE THROUH WHIICH WE SEE THE WORLD

The previous owners affectionately named her "Mala," drawing inspiration from the initials of their children's names. It wasn't until they arrived at their first Spanish-speaking port they discovered an unexpected twist: "Mala" translates to "bad girl" in Spanish. While they found this meaning amusing, it didn't align with our vision for our future home.

With a fresh outlook and a desire to honor the vessel we are growing to cherish, we've decided to christen our boat "MAKA." This choice reflects our hope not only to mend the physical elements that require attention but also to nurture and restore the spirit of this vessel.
